Upper Deck Inks Reigning NHL MVP Alexander Ovechkin to an Exclusive Deal!


Ovechkin will sign autographs exclusively for Upper Deck at the start of the 2009-10 season and also appear on packaging



Carlsbad, CA (August 14, 2009) – Upper Deck, the exclusive provider of NHL licensed hockey cards, is pleased to announce an exclusive autograph deal with Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals at the onset of the 2009-10 season. Ovechkin, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2004 NHL Draft, was named the NHL Rookie of the Year for the 2005-06 season, and has earned back-to-back league MVP trophies for the past two seasons.



Besides signing autograph cards exclusively for new Upper Deck products, Ovechkin will be featured on 2009-10 Upper Deck Hockey card packaging. Collectors can look forward to seeing new Alexander Ovechkin content in all Upper Deck releases at the onset of the 2009-10 season.

2008-09 The Cup Hockey


The Cup hockey released on August 6th and so far the response has been very positive with many low #d multicolor patch auto cards. A customer in the store was very happy pulling a quad patch Gordie Howe auto card with red wing and Aeros multi colored patches #d 1/5 and promptly bought a second box! The cup is a limited product and sells out fast, now is the time to get in on this exciting product!
