The 2012 Contenders Championship Ticket Andrew Luck autograph flew past $7,500 within hours and still has a long bidding window left. The one-of-one parallel features a rainbow foil finish and an on-card autograph. It is stamped on the back of the card. It's also noted on the front with a foil "Championship Ticket" notation on the side of the card. The seller, who has a 100% feedback rating at a score of nearly 3,700, is based out of Green Bay. They listed the auction as a ten-day listing. Bidding closes on Wednesday, February 20 at approximately 9:15 PM EST or 6:15 PM PST. The listing states that bidding is only available in the United States. The listing has several images, showing the card from several angles. One of the corners looks like it has a small scratch on the front of the foil. This is highlighted in on of the pictures. Bidding began at $0.99 and within the first 24 hours was pushing $8,000. This isn't the only 2012 Panini Contenders Andrew Luck card to see strong action. All of his autographs in the set have been moving well, bolstered by the brand's tradition and the on-card signature. In particular, Playoff Ticket parallels numbered to 99 have been approaching $1,000. His regular rookie cards from the set have been selling for about $400. Panini America Inks Trading Card Deal with Projected No. 1 NFL Draft Pick Andrew Luck

Panini America, the world’s largest sports and entertainment collectibles company, announced today that it has reached a trading card agreement with former Stanford University superstar quarterback Andrew Luck for the 2012 season.

The deal is Luck’s first officially licensed NFL and NFL PLAYERS trading card deal and will include Luck’s first licensed autographed trading cards.


“Andrew Luck is poised to become one of the next great NFL quarterbacks, and football fans and collectors are eagerly anticipating his first NFL and NFL PLAYERS licensed trading cards,” said Panini America CEO Mark Warsop. “This partnership will help us deliver what absolutely will be the most coveted collectibles of the 2012 NFL season. We’re happy to welcome Andrew to the Panini America family.”

Luck was awarded the Walter Camp Award as National Player of the Year, Maxwell Award and First Team All-American honors last season on the strength of 3,517 passing yards and 39 total touchdowns. Luck also holds Pac-12/Pac-10 records for highest completion percentage in both a sing season (2011) and career, as well as the record for passer efficiency rating in a career.

Luck’s first officially licensed trading cards will appear in Panini America’s 2012 Prestige Football product that is slated to release in early June. In addition to traditional trading cards, Luck also will be featured exclusively on the company’s pioneering HRX Video Trading Card technology, product packaging and in social media initiatives throughout the length of the agreement.

Panini America Selects Peyton Manning as Official NFL Spokesman and Trading Card Ambassador

ARLINGTON, Texas - Panini America, a subsidiary of The Panini Group, the leading global publisher of sports and entertainment collectables announced today that four-time NFL MVP and Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Peyton Manning will serve as the company's official NFL spokesman and trading card ambassador.


Manning will be featured on Panini's 2010 NFL/NFLPA packaging, advertising and point-of-sale initiatives including the official NFL sticker/sticker album and NFL Adrenalyn, an interactive trading card game set to debut in August. Manning's autograph and game used materials will also appear in Panini Football products. Panini will also work with Manning's charity, The Peyback Foundation.

"I'm excited to be a part of a global brand like Panini and look forward to bringing the excitement of collecting Panini Football cards and stickers to kids with NFL Adrenalyn and the Panini NFL Sticker Album," said Indianapolis Colts Quarterback, Peyton Manning.
